NEWARK — Homeless and without a job, Toni Clark saved her unemployment checks only for the barest of essentials — meals, and her college education.
On Friday, Clark was one of almost 1,100 graduates at the largest commencement in Essex County College’s 40-year history. While many of her classmates faced down their own adversity, Clark’s entire college career was completed without having a place to sleep at night.

In today's world with a struggling man made economy, people are losing hope. The lost of hope means a lost of creative thinking. If we have no creative thinking and its very low, we in turn have a low production rate of ideas and aspirations.We lack scientific intellect these days. Intellect means, 1 a: the power of knowing as distinguished from the power to feel and to will : the capacity for knowledge b: the capacity for rational or intelligent thought especially when highly developed 2: a person with great intellectual powers.People just don't feel like they need to explore things any more. When it comes to men, it use to be an old double standard. Back in the day in some areas it was okay for a man to have have sex with multiple women and be labeled a player, mack etc etc.When a woman has multiple sex partners she was considered a whore, slut, bitch etc etc.Nowadays the man could be a whore (hoe), dogs, womanizer etc etc. Some women call men bitches now. Its not good for either side.If a woman cheated on a man or left a man, some people feel the blame still is on the man. For example If she cheats its because the man wasn't loving her right with the other Rod that rules the house.If she lacks enough attention, its his fault because you weren't giving her enough attention.If she goes out all the time and fools around its because the man let her run the streets and didn't care.If she stays at home too much and leaves the man because of that, its because he gave her no freedom and to controlling.Do you see all the double standards? Words are like technology in a way, they are both neutral, it’s only the users of words and technology that can charge them. Words are powerful things, for they are the most popular instrument to use when attempting to communicate, or interact with others. The way we use words is individualistic, we can use them to write an essay, console others, and even tear down others. In other words fall into three categories we can use them in a neutral, good, or harmful ways. The same is true for technology; let me illustrate the point with a car. You can use a car to take up an assigned parking space given to you by your landlord, if someone keeps using in without your permission. You can use a car to give someone a ride to get groceries, to help prepare a dinner tonight, you can use a car to run over someone, or you can run over someone’s garden. This all leads me to one word the future, like any other word it can have different connotations, neutral, positive, or negative. The charge comes is individualistic, so the charge I put on it is positive. In other words I envision a bright future for a plethora of reasons. Reasons include my mentality about the future, the fact that paradigms are changing in my generation, and that innovation will occur.
Why is the charge associated with words so individualistic? My conclusion is that we all have our own unique mentality, for the reason we all see the same thing through different eyes, in other words we have our own opinions. One thing that took away from my happiness many times, is attempting to control things. It was May 2007, after the SATS, and during school time my Dad comes home, and tells me we are going to San Diego for my three day weekend, for his American Psychiatric Association meeting. Surprisingly I was dismayed, I was dismayed for the fact I was close to getting this girl I realized I like when our friendship took one different form then even best friends. While I was in San Diego, I visited Coronado beach and there something big hit me, I gained insight through outsight. I was watching the surfers, surfers don’t control the size, duration, or the direction of the waves, and they just go with the flow. Ever since I gained new insight, it has been all smiles; it is like I forgot how to frown. I let go of my need to control things, I make rough plans, I just know how I want things to be, work for them, things don’t go my way, just go with the flow, and things get done the best possible way. Now I have an optimistic mentality, I see things with a broader mind now.
In the article” New limits to growth Revive Malthusian Fears”, calls to reinstitute fears of lack of resources, to induce innovation, with innovation comes new technology. New technology goes hand in hand with growth. Technology frees up our time by making things easier, so we can focus on more things. The thing is fear is not a good motivator for innovation, for innovation comes from leaders. Leaders are learners, they innovate since they get bored with complacently, so they shake things up with new ways. New ways are always found for there is always a better way to do something, since each situation is different. People who hunger for knowledge will fuel innovation, so we believe we should implant the hunger for the right knowledge. The future looks bright since through friendship and love people are looking for better ways to do things, people are looking for new paradigms. Te authors are looking for science to save us, but take a step back science is made by who, humans. Fellow humans will save us like they always not out of fear but, through friendship and love.

Ever since I gained new insight, it has been all smiles; it is like I forgot how to frown. I let go of my need to control things, I make rough plans, I just know how I want things to be, work for them, things don’t go my way, just go with the flow, and things get done the best possible way. Now I have an optimistic mentality, I see things with a broader mind now.
In the article” New limits to growth Revive Malthusian Fears”, calls to reinstitute fears of lack of resources, to induce innovation, with innovation comes new technology. New technology goes hand in hand with growth. Technology frees up our time by making things easier, so we can focus on more things. The thing is fear is not a good motivator for innovation, for innovation comes from leaders. Leaders are learners, they innovate since they get bored with complacently, so they shake things up with new ways. New ways are always found for there is always a better way to do something, since each situation is different. People who hunger for knowledge will fuel innovation, so we believe we should implant the hunger for the right knowledge. The future looks bright since through friendship and love people are looking for better ways to do things, people are looking for new paradigms. Te authors are looking for science to save us, but take a step back science is made by who, humans. Fellow humans will save us like they always not out of fear but, through friendship and love.

All of this serves a higher purpose with evolution. The great pyramid of Egypt, the temples of Mayans and their prophecies, along with the I Ching (also called Book of Changes) have a significance with their base levels and zenith peaks.The Base of the pyramids / temples all the way to the top represents our spiritual development and growth. Some people have pointed out a time line with all of these monuments and levels of the structures with major events with the world. America is considered the melting pot for all races. All races come from one race according to science. President Barack Obama is mixed with two races of black and white but he has also lived in a variety of parts of the world with Asians. This year the Olympics was hosted in an Asian country, China. The movie Trading Places, Barack Obama, the dollar bet and end game for this world is no coincidence.The new presidency term ends 2012. This current year for the start of a new term was 01/1/2009. If you add 2 + 9, it would equal eleven. You can see four 1's. There are four one's in the corner of a dollar on each side. The front side (the beginning) has George Washington's picture on it. Process Note on "Beauty
The hardest part of doing an ad analysis is getting a magazine to get an ad from. There countless magazines out there, but being able to pick one through which you can find an ad that you can truly relate to is extremely hard. Every weekend that I go home, I stop at my friend's house. One weekend, as I went over her house I saw a magazine and instantaneously saw an ad that intrigued me the vibrant color, radiant shades and my critical mood were all factors in picking this AD. I was able to objectively criticize the ad since is not a good advertisement for the product yet was able to analyze it in a positive light as well. I looked at the ad and found the motif or theme of the ad to be the red carpet, Oscars, and beauty. Then I got to trying to get my ideas out and what came out was my rough draft. Now for my revise draft I tried to make clearer my criticism throughout the piece so the reader can make their own judgments. Also I tried to define a broader concept of beauty following Bernadette's advice who I found out lives in the same building as me. I added another paragraph tried to write as I speak but failed, but I have time to work on that skill so I don't appear phony when I type. The readings my professor supplied me with help me realize the things the ad built on like the Oscars, and the red carpet. This paper I reluctantly admit was fun to write and I work on a skill analyzing advertisements. Right now I want to thank all my teachers, for everything I am because the saw a potential in me, something I forgot. I thank Keith Yu for being there when I needed him, and his flash drive.
Beauty
When you hear the word "beauty", what first comes to mind? Splendor, magnificence, attractiveness, ideal are all words that come to mind when trying to define the word that is beauty. When I saw an ad in People Magazine I immediately translated the ad as one that depicted beauty. This ad by L'Oreal Paris defines beauty through makeup. This ad helps perpetuate the false notion that beauty is skin deep and nothing else. The color scheme was quick to grab my attention. The scheme is fairly simple, about 3/4ths of the page is gold, and there seems to be two beams of light intersecting at the top of the page. The other 1/4 of the page is black. The scheme is the same used on an Oscar award L'Oreal placed big white text in the gold part which is "Spotlight on Beauty" and under this text they placed about ten of their products. Since there was room above two of the products L'Oreal decided to put more text which states "Celebrate the glamour of awards season with a red carpet look and free movie ticket". Then L'Oreal describes the one place that facilitates the reader to get a special offer, CVS. In the other parts of the black they add white text that describes the terms and conditions of the special, getting a free movie ticket. Clearly after looking at the ad the reader can tell that the theme of the ad is movies and L'Oreal is wishing to capitalize on award season. They actively try to sell beauty but do so by painting a picture of beauty that is unattainable by the average citizen. L'Oreal is hoping to build upon the readers' knowledge of some award season events such as the Oscars, and the red carpet. The color scheme of using mostly gold is to signify Oscars, and to transfer all the glamour of the Oscars to this advertisement. They further push the idea of the Oscars by having two spotlights intersect at their brand name L'Oreal and at the text Spotlight on Beauty. The spotlight accentuates the word I, making it the focal point. The word beauty has been misconstrued into something that movie actresses and models more frequently have. The magazine photographers use Photoshop, and the consumer aware that most models in magazines, and pictures aren't really that beautiful. They have been photo shopped or edited. The consumer is also aware that the models and actresses have a team of makeup artists accentuating and increasing the beauty of the women. L'Oreal tries to transfer beauty to their ten makeup products right below the word.
The ten makeup products are Advanced Revita Lift, Advanced Revita Night, and Superior Preference Fade Defying-Color & Shine System, two colors Riche Lipcolour, Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara, Infallible Never Fail Makeup, Superior Preference, True Match Makeup, and Visible Lift Serum inside-Minimizing Makeup. Anyone can plainly see that the products are used for the head and face. This ad perpetuates that beauty is just based on appearance and it helps destroy people's awareness of inner-beauty. They also perpetuate the appearance of women should include makeup to enhance beauty and glamour. This ad plays on society's notion that ties beauty with makeup. This notion makes our culture into liars with makeup it's like Chris Rock said "you're not that pretty you have makeup on". Appearances can deceive people and give a false sense of beauty, hence it's a lie. The reader is growing aware now that too much makeup increases fakeness and that too much does the opposite of enhancing beauty but defiles natural beauty. L'Oreal's marketers try to distract you from questioning their definition of beauty with a special offer. The special offer L'Oreal tries to bribe the reader, to buy one of the products in the ad from CVS, is a free movie ticket, which can take 4-8 weeks to deliver. The offer raises a question if L'Oreal's product is weak, since they have to offer a gimmick for the consumer to buy it. Even though L'Oreal is an established brand it played on the award ceremony theme to promote their products and with their products they are promoting a beautiful and glamorous red carpet lifestyle. The life style that promotes a false sense of beauty, a beauty that is defined as women wearing too much makeup that masks their true appearance. Beauty is hard to describe since it's really in the eye of the beholder. Two types of beauty is inner and outer, inner is more the actions of a person, and their quirks. Outer beauty is the appearance, smile, and confidence of a person. Beauty is what the focal point of the ad was but they didn't transfer it well to their product.
A wise girl named Jyoti Aggarwal told me to get feedback about why girls wear makeup. My friend Bernie Mac, real name Bernadette gave a list of ten things, I will share with you. Women wear makeup for a plethora of reasons. Reasons include to impress boys, appear more feminine, and to be more sexually appealing. Secondly women wish to express creativity, to hide what they don't like about themselves, and to accentuate what they like about themselves. Finally women strive to exude themselves as artful, confident, and as eye candy. All in all Women really want a man that sees through the deceit at their inner beauty, they wish to meet their equal who loves them more than God.
The Marketers at L'Oreal didn't waste any space when developing this advertisement. They used a two tone color scheme that gold mostly dominating to transfer the glamour of the Oscars to their brand, which in turn transfers it to the product. They make beauty and their ten products the focal point of the AD. They promise that their product will give a red carpet look to anyone that uses their product. They are playing on everyone's' ambition to try to be all that they can possibly be. Lastly the Marketers give another reason to buy the product, with an attractive offer, of a free movie ticket worth ten dollars, seems to be a bet honestly. People are always seeking understanding; sadly nothing in life is free yet. My first lesson in economics was given by Mr. Turner he boiled down economics in a sentence:"there is no such thing as a free lunch". The reader is also aware that the beauty L'Oreal is pushing is of the superficial sort. Who believes what L'Oreal is promising? True Beauty cannot be anything that's pleasing to the eye; it is much deeper than that. False Beauty that the marketers are pushing is one of the epidermis sort or outer skin kind. This sense of beauty is a false one so their advertisement is based on an invalid premise. The argument that their product should be bought is extremely weak, their actions betray their words. The marketers while very clever fail at making an effective advertisement. All in All beauty has gone the wrong way, we must reverse the reaction, we must not put on makeup like clowns, and lastly many people are afraid of clowns.

A slight imbalance with these hormones can make us sane or insane. This is where the saying comes from, there is a thin line between sanity and insanity. There is another saying of a thin line between love and hate. The wrong communication or preconceived thought can ruin a relationship. Your flower/lotus/pineal gland has to be in tune with the Earth or you will be out of sync and out of your mind. Syncing perfectly is like syncing with the seasons especially spring and summer. The flowers bloom and give off natural scents to attract the bees and so forth.Flowers, herbs and spices are used for fragrances, medicinal purposes along with cooking. Fragrances were first used in Islamic countries and introduced to France and the rest of the world. While Eastern countries and Islamic people used oils, other Europeans mixed whale blubber or waste. Whale waste (dung) is very valuable and used in perfumes. Some women work so hard to beautify themselves to look other than who they are by putting on eau du toilette water or perfume. There is whale blubber or waste, and then there is toilette water. Toillete water comes from one aspect of people putting water on in the toilet room. The other aspect is its based on your anal syndrome. It doesn't matter what you put on or how many times you wash your natural scent is there. It's inside your saliva, sweat and tears.If you go to other countries they have a different hygiene aspect than Americans. America has the worst relationships problems also. Just like trying to put on fragrances with the anal syndrome and whale waste being at the bottom of the scents, its a cover up the true you that you are trying to hide. We expect the fragrances to give us a slightly different appearance of who we truly are. Some of us expect the other person to make us happier than what we can naturally do for ourselves. We get so mad when we realize that its not about looks or material things on the outside, but what is on the inside of a person. Sometimes, the rude awakening or false reality of hiding ourselves is an, illusion of grandeur. A false reality is confusion like being in a virtual dungeon. There might be a connection to Jonah in the Bible being on the inside of a whale. He went through so many trails, but he still wound up in a dungeon inside the belly of a whale.Some of us drag on to people because of their looks or material things. Some of us like to emotionally drain other people whether its a friendship, co-worker relationship or mate relationship.The false reality of assuming another identity (identity theft) with perfumes, weaves, material things or money, gets a lot of us in trouble. It can put us in a virtual dungeon or real dungeon called, the belly of the beast.Is this all a coincidence or has the false reality of TV, movies and fables thrown our vision of life, slightly off?The court system to my knowledge is called the penal system. It is believed that this system, is said to not rehabilitating people in most cases. The prisons are physical dungeons of today where their is an inadequate amount of sun-light. Prisons have their own and rules(Eco systems) with the prisoners. The prison has its own standard rules along with guidelines.Notice how penal and pineal are closely related. The vowels change but there is a close connection. Being in a prison/dungeon represents the amount of light one is receiving whether it is a physical or virtual prison. Both of these prisons can turn us into a dark person. An outside system can do it, another person can drag on to us pulling us down or we can do it to ourselves with a drunk stubborn ego. Once we have lost control of our ego our chakras spin out of control. This is how we lose control of ourselves and we become dark, avoiding and devoid of light.The confusion and darkness is represented in characters such as demons, gargoyles, dragons, snakes and dogs. The role playing game Dungeons and Dragons has its significance here with all of us. There are different characters from Knights, dragons, demons etc. Most video games represent these characters in forms of villains. The video game world is a virtual world that is training our children and adults to be in a virtual dungeon if it isn't a casual learning game that can benefit people in a positive manner or game of strategy.We can be a demon as in de-man. A demon represents a man who has let lower negative thoughts govern him and his actions.We can be in a dungeon as in trapped in our own predicaments of sh*t that we created with confusion and ignoring a righteous voice on the inside. In some cases a controlling evil deceiving power has put us in a predicament.We can be a dragon as in a person with a beast like mentality that views life with a dark view. A dragon breaths anger, hate and negativity from its lungs representing fire. The strength of a dragon is the lengths it will go though to constantly bringing you or yourself down.We can be gargoyles as a child killer. In some myths gargoyles like to kill children . Some like to eat children. We use our evil hearts to kill the inner child of a highly motivated, goal oriented person. The root word in gargoyle is gargle as in throat. Some of us are gargoyles and kill our own inner child with bad suggestion, thoughts as well as poisons we ingest into our body.If we look at our esophagus its the shape of a castle tower. The trap door or oubliette is the diaphragm to our lower intestines. This is how food is lowered into some dungeons. The only person that is a prisoner here is your inner child. Your inner child is trapped in your dungeon and being held back by regret, sorrow, past situations and fear that you need to cleanse (fast) from your body as well as mind. Science has proven that the stomach or enteric system communicates with your pineal gland.You have to change your desires. A higher power is putting all of us in a dungeon like condition on a virtual spiritual plane. This current situation with the world. We have to escape two prisons. We can use our stomachs as batteries if we change our intentions and desires. Our enteric system will then use the cells to generate messages to the pineal gland. The pineal gland will then send a message to all the other chakras. The chakras all have spinning energy fields that can activate different things or states of minds for different reasons. An example of that is called fight or flight response. The spinning chakras all act like a combination lock interlocking with certain spiritual keys that we key in on through a higher power and key in on messages. We then transmit the ideas in our creative thoughts. We when transmit these ideas music is created, scientific ideas are created, love energy is spewed forth, relationships are happy and the world would be a different place. This is the symbolic connection with filling your cups with water until it runneth over. The water that will fill in this cup is all natural and you can never get too drunk from it. This is the connection with the Holy Grail. They holy grail is a cup inside you that can obtain water from the fountain of youth. The youth in you is the inner child.In the Bible's book of Revelation, there is a story of the Dragon and a pregnant woman. This is all symbolic for the inner child of male and females. When we sleep we have to become wise in the night/knight (dark period for the world right now) to defeat the reflection of a dragon. When we defeat this reflection, our out look on life will be a new day every day and every night. There is whale blubber or waste, and then there is toilette water. Toillete water comes from one aspect of people putting water on in the toilet room. The other aspect is its based on your anal syndrome. It doesn't matter what you put on or how many times you wash your natural scent is there. It's inside your saliva, sweat and tears.If you go to other countries they have a different hygiene aspect than Americans. America has the worst relationships problems also. Just like trying to put on fragrances with the anal syndrome and whale waste being at the bottom of the scents, its a cover up the true you that you are trying to hide. We expect the fragrances to give us a slightly different appearance of who we truly are. Some of us expect the other person to make us happier than what we can naturally do for ourselves. We get so mad when we realize that its not about looks or material things on the outside, but what is on the inside of a person. Sometimes, the rude awakening or false reality of hiding ourselves is an, illusion of grandeur. A false reality is confusion like being in a virtual dungeon. There might be a connection to Jonah in the Bible being on the inside of a whale. He went through so many trails, but he still wound up in a dungeon inside the belly of a whale.Some of us drag on to people because of their looks or material things. Some of us like to emotionally drain other people whether its a friendship, co-worker relationship or mate relationship.The false reality of assuming another identity (identity theft) with perfumes, weaves, material things or money, gets a lot of us in trouble. It can put us in a virtual dungeon or real dungeon called, the belly of the beast.Is this all a coincidence or has the false reality of TV, movies and fables thrown our vision of life, slightly off?The court system to my knowledge is called the penal system. It is believed that this system, is said to not rehabilitating people in most cases. The prisons are physical dungeons of today where their is an inadequate amount of sun-light. Prisons have their own and rules(Eco systems) with the prisoners. The prison has its own standard rules along with guidelines.Notice how penal and pineal are closely related. The vowels change but there is a close connection. Being in a prison/dungeon represents the amount of light one is receiving whether it is a physical or virtual prison. Both of these prisons can turn us into a dark person. An outside system can do it, another person can drag on to us pulling us down or we can do it to ourselves with a drunk stubborn ego. Once we have lost control of our ego our chakras spin out of control. This is how we lose control of ourselves and we become dark, avoiding and devoid of light.The confusion and darkness is represented in characters such as demons, gargoyles, dragons, snakes and dogs. The role playing game Dungeons and Dragons has its significance here with all of us. There are different characters from Knights, dragons, demons etc. Most video games represent these characters in forms of villains. The video game world is a virtual world that is training our children and adults to be in a virtual dungeon if it isn't a casual learning game that can benefit people in a positive manner or game of strategy.We can be a demon as in de-man. A demon represents a man who has let lower negative thoughts govern him and his actions.We can be in a dungeon as in trapped in our own predicaments of sh*t that we created with confusion and ignoring a righteous voice on the inside. In some cases a controlling evil deceiving power has put us in a predicament.We can be a dragon as in a person with a beast like mentality that views life with a dark view. A dragon breaths anger, hate and negativity from its lungs representing fire. The strength of a dragon is the lengths it will go though to constantly bringing you or yourself down.We can be gargoyles as a child killer. In some myths gargoyles like to kill children . Some like to eat children. We use our evil hearts to kill the inner child of a highly motivated, goal oriented person. The root word in gargoyle is gargle as in throat. Some of us are gargoyles and kill our own inner child with bad suggestion, thoughts as well as poisons we ingest into our body.If we look at our esophagus its the shape of a castle tower. The trap door or oubliette is the diaphragm to our lower intestines. This is how food is lowered into some dungeons. The only person that is a prisoner here is your inner child. Your inner child is trapped in your dungeon and being held back by regret, sorrow, past situations and fear that you need to cleanse (fast) from your body as well as mind. Science has proven that the stomach or enteric system communicates with your pineal gland.You have to change your desires. A higher power is putting all of us in a dungeon like condition on a virtual spiritual plane. This current situation with the world. We have to escape two prisons. We can use our stomachs as batteries if we change our intentions and desires. Our enteric system will then use the cells to generate messages to the pineal gland. The pineal gland will then send a message to all the other chakras. The chakras all have spinning energy fields that can activate different things or states of minds for different reasons. An example of that is called fight or flight response. The spinning chakras all act like a combination lock interlocking with certain spiritual keys that we key in on through a higher power and key in on messages. We then transmit the ideas in our creative thoughts. We when transmit these ideas music is created, scientific ideas are created, love energy is spewed forth, relationships are happy and the world would be a different place. This is the symbolic connection with filling your cups with water until it runneth over. The water that will fill in this cup is all natural and you can never get too drunk from it. This is the connection with the Holy Grail. They holy grail is a cup inside you that can obtain water from the fountain of youth. The youth in you is the inner child.In the Bible's book of Revelation, there is a story of the Dragon and a pregnant woman. This is all symbolic for the inner child of male and females. When we sleep we have to become wise in the night/knight (dark period for the world right now) to defeat the reflection of a dragon. When we defeat this reflection, our out look on life will be a new day every day and every night. INKS THEORY!
Process Note
My paper is coming about, from Synthesis. I choose topic six since I was born on the twenty forth, two plus four equals six. I also chose it since it appealed to me and then I realized no one else picked it, and I didn't do the paper before class, so I can work alone on the paper all period long. The writing I was doing will benefit people who lost their love for their passion. This paper needs an opening that has a broad opening so the people reading it can broaden their mind. The broad opening also shows much potential, with much potential it can go many ways. People can predict where it will go, but it will be delayed, just to show them anything can happen. I do the same thing in chem. lecture .Abraham: Ok he went over a topic now he will ask a question. Abraham: "what he didn't, (next slide question) I told you there will be a question aha". A paper is a journey and if you're close minded the journey is not as fun, but if you are open you can experience much more exciting. I hope the reader can get that you must reform to broaden your mind, you must not limit yourself, since you can do more than you realize. Life is a journey and as much as people think the destination is important, but I tell you in the end the journey is what matters for you meet many people. Many people who are destination focused are like zombies that don't respond to anyone, and are just plain boring. To understand a poem you must be open to realize people's emotions, through EQ or emotional quotient which is opposite and more needed than a high IQ. Poems are made through emotions. People need to free their minds of their thoughts of GOD, fate, and people's purpose and just read the paper through than find stuff to go against the premises and conclusions. My friend who shall not be named said "All of these men are WHITE Europeans they are talking about the Holy Trinity." I'm like I know, the thing is our definitions of religions are illogical the definitions are not mutually exclusive. Never turn off your inquisitive nature, just ask the right questions. The thing is we achieved what the writing program craves; we have the western logical thinking. The thing I scan u analyze the paper. The student has become equal to the teacher I cannot be bigger, for every teacher was a student. We are superman but the worlds square, like bizzaro's world; yup we are in bizzaro words. I am Abraham a lover of semantics, and everything. We synthesize everything; we study life, so we are biologist a mixture of physics and chemistry. I love the process note, I feel like a musician getting interviewed.

"Close your minds, close your eyes, see with your heart . . . the ink of a scholar is one thousand times more than a blood of the martyr"(Fiasco). Now you may wonder why start with this quote? Well whether you realized it or not, you answered a question with your question. Now allow me to elaborate, you have not closed your mind. I am fortunate to be enlightened to the fact that you went into the field of writing, for your passion for reading, therefore the art of writing enables you to have a new instrument to convey your passion to others. Now you are older, and more like a baby, your ability to communicate has diminished, and now your words sound like "Goo Goo ga ga "(James). My brother Farrukh Shan articulated it the best, "old people and babies are alike"(Shan) like a simile "children & old people are overly sensitive"(Shan). So now let us both enter a vehicle called a time machine, and no this is not back to the future. The question now, transforms to we cannot build a time machine, well my friend you are absolutely correct. Einstein illustrated the view the best when he made the statement, "it is all relative", now let us use his statement in a sentence. My Earth Science teacher said it the best, "It is not rocket science, but rock science, it is all relative"(Janecyzko). So let music be the vehicle we use to travel back to your younger days. A helpful hint use imagination. Now that's out of the way let us move on to the first body paragraph. I thank you for your patience. Thomas Hardy a poet from the 19th century seemed to in much distress and pain when he wrote the poem Hap. In the poem he imagines and wishes that God is a vengeful, and that all his pain was for his pleasure. Hardy was looking for a reason for the pain all around him. This idea is one that occurred to me also, but then I am reminded of a show that goes by Scrubs, in one episode: the Dean of Medicine is talking with his granddaughter. He tells her that to get anything important in life, you will go through pain, and that you must keep fighting no matter how hard the battle is. Now that correlates to the expression "No pain no gain", so bring your pain killers. In other words pain is one of the ingredients when you achieve something worthwhile. Hardy to me commits a fallacy when he imagines a vengeful God that takes pleasure in sorrow; he forgets that there is another person in the equation, the devil. It reminds me of a movie "End of Days", in it it's said: one of the devil greatest tricks is to make us forget he exists". Pain to me is not God's "ecstasy", but the devils. To follow your divine destiny you will go through the most pain ever, you will destroy your will and follow divine will, and the devil will throw obstacles your way to stop you from achieving your destiny. John Donne a sixteenth century poet in his poem "Batter My Heart, Three-Personed God, For You", seems to be embracing God's Will by letting him in his heart. He wants to hear God's whisper, not the devil's screams', he wants to enter a trance, in other words meditate. He wants God to help him fight his battles and seems to do one of the hardest things a person can do. Let go of your will and submit to God's Will completely. You can call John a Muslim, for the way he submits to God's Will, it's a literal defining relax, for that is the definition of what the word Muslim means. Probably linguistics major will argue with me. John speaks of a three Personed God thou, so he is probably a Hindu, Hindus have the Brahman trinities, Vishnu, Brahma, and Shiva, or Christian. More than likely he is a Christian for John seems to be a European name in the sixteenth century. Donne in his poem seems to forget his past, and realizes the only way to have a good future is by staying in the present.
Edwin Arlington Robinson is a nineteenth century poet, who wrote" Horace to Leuconoe." After reading the poem I believe he is expressing his feelings of how precious life is, why it is precious, for the reason it's short. Life is something we all take for granted time and time again, allow me explains. When we believe that tomorrow is promised, in other words when we adopt that I'll do it tomorrow attitude. Abraham Lincoln once said "Leave nothing for tomorrow which can be done today". Many people are sadly leaving this earth, which I refer to as purgatory from time to time. In reality life isn't promised to anyone to the next day, since life is a thing we cannot control alone, no matter how hard we try. If you disagree, please allow me to respond with a question, why is there percent error in laboratories? Imperfection is constant in the current world. Please don't fall into the impression that we are powerless, for we can control how we perceive situations, and therefore our reactions to situations. Together we can minimize percent error, in chemistry lab the greater the percent yield occurs usually when working with a competent partner. Therefore through teamwork we can accomplish great feats, just look at what team work can do for champion sport teams. All in all it is like Menander said "We live, not as we wish to, but as we can." Now that this paper is coming to a close, questions will follow. I hope you were formulating questions during the whole journey, but remember why we question. To help you answer I ask you another question: why do children question things? The conclusion I'm looking to hear is that children have curiosity, a curiosity to understand things. In other words the origins of questions come from a hunger to understand things. Now let me get to the point, but before we do that another question. What is the goal of Liberal Arts education? One conclusion I made is to ask the right questions, to broaden our minds. It is like Pascal said "Too much and too little education hinders the mind". Hardy, Donne, and Robinson all spoke about different aspects or characteristics of God, Faith, and Fate. Sometimes we get lazy and complacent, and get use to the norm, or traditions, but like a tradition the world is cyclic. One tradition that's recurring is that traditions change, yes earthquakes happen, and stir things up. We made the wheel, so we control where it goes, all in all we make our own fate whether we like it or not. Now this journey is over but do not fret for "When one
door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us."

Women!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is truly a shame, and quite saddening to see what society has changed young women into. The devil has used the media, music and TV shows to remove any moral standards in our young women today, and many of you are now victims of trying to 'look good' for Men's sinful pleasures.
We have removed all focus from the inner beauty of a women, that all women work on today is to 'improve' their physical appearance, not understanding that you are already fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord your God. What I mean is you are beautiful as you are, so don't spend time trying to improve your physical appearance, which is of no value to God, and so ignoring how greatly you need to focus on your inner beauty.
Beauty that is not based on how you look, but how you act. Beauty much deeper than the clothes and the jewelry you wear. As sad as it is to see, many of my young sisters living in this world don't really know what it means to be truly beautiful, instead they think that looking seductive through applying a lot of make up and dressing inappropriately is the way to be beautiful, which in truth is the exact opposite.
1 Peter 3:3-4 has this message for women:
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes, Instead it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."
My sisters, do not let your self be conformed to the way society has made you think, why don't you in this moment dare yourself to be different if you have not yet done so, be different in thinking, knowing that you in this world not to please men or yourself, but to please God, for this is the true purpose of each one of us.
Now I'm not saying that you should not look or dress 'nice', what I am saying is, do NOT make your focus your physical appearance, disregarding that much more is needed to fix your inner self, which you should be much more focusing on.
I really find it pitiful that most young women these days go too far with their desire to impress men or sometimes other women, as far as to post half naked or even naked pictures of themselves right here on Myspace. Or simply just dressing in a manner which would reveal there sacred body parts.
You know what is even more sad is that the cause of this problem is rooted much deeper than most even know, most of the time this young women just have a problem with their self-esteem, their confidence and so they seek complements from people, sometimes they just want someone to love them, and so they do desperate things to get that love from a men. Women are now looking for men to complete them, but rather women should look for men to compliment them. Men like classy women nit slutty ones,, they just use the sluts and the sluts just get emotionally hurt.
The Stranger!!!!
The Stranger
A few years after I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our small Texas town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family. The stranger was quickly accepted and was around from then on.
As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young mind, he had a special niche. My parents were complementary instructors: Mom taught me good from evil, and Dad taught me to obey. But the stranger...he was our storyteller. He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with adventures, mysteries and comedies.
If I wanted to know anything about politics, history or science, he always knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future! He took my family to the first major league ball game He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn't seem to mind.
Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to the kitchen for peace and quiet. (I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)
Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger never felt obligated to honor them. Profanity, for example, was not allowed in our home... Not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our longtime visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears and made my dad squirm and my mother blush.
My Dad didn't permit the liberal use of alcohol. But the stranger encouraged us to try it on a regular basis. He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly and pipes distinguished. He talked freely (much too freely!) about sex His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing.
I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced strongly by the stranger. Time after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked... And NEVER asked to leave.
More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family. He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first. Still, if you could walk into my parents' den today, you would still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures. His name?....
We just call him, "TV."

Love Thyself
 | I know so many who inside have been rejected, and don't feel accepted. Yet they know they have soooo much love to give, so they go and try to show this love to people to heal that feeling of rejection, but they don't seem to get the acceptance they feel they deserve from people....Why? Yea it never makes sense, but in Life, Just because you love someone and give them your all, you don't always get the same back......"BUT IT'S NOT FAIR"...yea I know, haven't you ever heard Life is NOT fair. If you have faced this, maybe you have taken a lil walk in Jesus' shoes, Who gave His own Life to declare his Love for you, to display His care for you, yet people still reject Him until this day... So what to do? Instead take that great amount of love you feel you have, and give it to yourself, accept yourself, LOVE YOURSELF, for if you don't learn to do this, you will spend your life longing to be loved and accepted by human beings who will only disappoint you time and time again. The Only Unbreakable Love is the one that God has for You and me.....and He loves you because you mean everything to Him..So start having the same love for yourself...start knowing that you mean the world to God, no matter what you have done, you are worthy of God's grace, and mercy...and He takes great pride on you.... You mean more to God than gold and diamonds, and if this is the case (which it very well is), then shouldn't you love yourself? |

Why do we always take the people or things in our life for granted until they are no longer there....
Why are we only reminded of what we have after it has left our grasp...Why can't we just cherish what we have, and know the worth of the people around us
Must we take everything for granted?
Think about How you will treat the people in your life if you just happened to know tomorrow they will be gone, and you wouldn't have a chance to care, or tell them how you feel...You wouldn't treat them the same way you treat them now would you?
I wonder why we don't notice that in reality, this is exactly how it is, we don't know if our loved ones will be here tomorrow, we don't know if today's the last day we have to tell someone that we care, that they mean a lot to us...Today could be the only day you have to be kind, to Love...
Do this everyday, for we don't know the length of anyone's life
Love is not just a feeling you have inside, but it must be acted out in acts of kindness, giving, consoling, being a friend, caring....
One day you will be in a situation where you will regret the fact that you just didn't take the time to care enough for the one who will be then gone. But before this happens, today you have that opportunity

What is a Christians?
Martin Luther defines one as one who feels no hate , or enmity to other fellow people.
A Christian is one who strives to be like Jesus, but many of us has failed.
So as a Christian I would like to apologize.
You know it's plenty of times that people have told me that us so called Christians are often the most hypocritical people and often the most hurtful people they have ever dealt with, and all along I didn't think nothing of it ,But today I apologize for all of us so called Christians out here.
It's apparent to me today that most people have denied Jesus Christ, not because they don't believe He exists or because they have known Him and didn't like His ways, but simply because the people they have met who called themselves Christians have been nothing like Christ.
So I'm sorry for the Christian who didn't care for your needs, but only told you how wrong you lived and that you will go to hell.
I'm sorry for the Christian who only cared to show you how better they were than you.
I'm Sorry If you found church to be a place where people danced, and you didn't know why and no one cared to tell you.
I'm sorry for the pastors who preached a message you didn't understand and no one cared to explain it.
I'm sorry for the people who made you think that the Bible is about following Rules.
I'm sorry for the people who made you think being a Christian is about being perfect.
I'm sorry for the people that made you think that you have to be a certain way or look a certain way to be a Christian.
I'm sorry for the churches who made you feel like you weren't good enough, or you weren't dressed good enough to enter them.
I'm sorry for the churches that just never took the time to get to know you, to make you feel like you were part of them, a family, and I'm sorry for the boring pastors who made you hate church.
I'm sorry for Christians who took more from you than they gave back to you.
And I can keep on going, man aren't we some twisted Christians, so I come to you, asking for your forgiveness people. Please forgive us, because we are a poor reflection of Jesus, and we are nothing like Him, so Please don't deny Jesus because of me, because of US, because the Jesus we serve is not a God of rules, He doesn't want you when you perfect, He doesn't just have rules for you to follow, He is a friend, He is a comforter, He is a deliverer. The Jesus we serve IS NOTHING LIKE ME. The Jesus we serve cares for what you have to say, He Loves You just as you are, with everything you have done, and He died for you so you can spend eternity with Him in Heaven.
This is a Challenge for Christians, it's not to put you down, but to show you that we have failed in many areas, we are to be a light to the world, the light of Jesus, and I don't know how many of us are anymore.
You know it's funny but 'THE HARSHEST WORDS JESUS EVER SAID' weren't to thieves, or prostitutes, or strippers, or drug addicts or drug dealers, or anybody that was openly living a sinful lifestyle, NO, The Harshest words of Jesus were aimed at Pharisees, the people who were hypocrites, the ones who pretended to be so religious, so better than everyone, people who acted like they knew it all and they were so Holy, fake Christians. So I'm Sorry Once Again, Please Forgive US and I promise You that Christ is Will be the Best thing You ever knew, because He is nothing like me, Again.

Love Part 1
All of us are made with a need to be loved, a need which we all seek throughout our lives in many things, beliefs, or people. Satan understands this about us, and in his own ways, he brings many things in our path that appear to offer that need, but all of them are empty, and they only leave us thirsting for more.
Some people Give up on Love since the things they try to find love in, disappoints them. this in turn makes Love/life unbearable. But people fail to consider ther Are LOOKING FOR LOVE IN THE WRONG PLACES. We fail to look at the being of uncondional love if ur a good reader u know that this being refers to GOD, he cares about each of us than this world. He fills that void of needing to be loved. Everyone human has that void so we can have a relationship with God.
All in all God fills that void of needing to be loved. God loves you no matter what you do, a scary thought right u can kill someone biut he woudd still love you. If u feeling down just look up to God. God is TRUE LOVE, a love that you don't need to fight for, cry for, seek for years, but a love thats given to you freely regardless of who you are.. For what is Love but God himself.
